Behind the scenes of my job!

Me and Kristen Armstrong on location for a campaign that she was shooting. I was on set for Hair and MakeUp.

My job is to make sure she looks good on camera. Ron was one of the videographers.

Kevin (Videographer), Alex (Producer) and me. I loved working with this crew. Super people! I'm just wondering why no one told me my hair looked like a porcupine? LOL

I'm to young to feel this way...

I woke up this morning, rolled (literally)off the side of my bed and had to peel open my eyes. Why you ask? I have no idea! I went to bed at a normal hour and had a very relaxing day yesterday. I figured it would get better once I had some breakfast. Nope! I fell asleep in the chair while eating my breakfast. All the while grace is running around the house having a great time, and mom is is the corner in a coma! Not Good! So let's hope the rest of the day gets a little more lively on my part, I have things to do. Today is grocery shopping day and the day I dust my house. Let's not forget the ironing I didn't do this weekend. Anybody want to come over and keep me awake?

Gotta Love Saturdays!

Today my lovely husband woke me up with breakfast in bed. Wahoo! He then followed it up with putting a lift kit on my jeep (so now the oversized tires he had to have don't rub). Then my Father in Law took us out to Chinese dinner. And now it is time to snuggle on the couch and watch a movie Nick rented for me. I'd say he's been up to something naughty to be so nice to me. LOL. Actually, that is just who he is! Great man, great day, great expectations for the rest of the night! Peace Out!

Sledding In Our New Town

We decided to hit the sledding hill on valentines day this year. Our family recently moved to Bellvue, Idaho (just outside of Sun Valley) and have all the snow activities you can imagine just out side our door. Grace rode in tow with her daddy having lots of fun until she abandoned ship and left with Grandpa to go sit in the hot tub. Collyn and I raced up and down the hill until I decided I had probably done enough since I am pregnant and all). But that didn't stop Collyn. He took on the big guy and raced Nick until the two were wiped out. But I must say the highlight of the day was watching Nick use his sled as a snowboard and come barreling down the hill... wipe out and all. Super Funny!

Bad Parenting

Clearly... this is why children should not have caffeine!

Catchin' Some Zzzz's

I must tell you a little story about Grace. She'll sleep any where, and can fall asleep in the blink of an eye. Yep... one moment she's blabbing her brains out and the next she's snoaring. It is clearly indicative in these photos that she doesn't have much of a problem with catching her Zzzz's! Ha!

Please note that she is multitasking while sleeping. Please reference the half eaten / half melted brownie in her hand and mouth. Ha!

Girls Night!

Well Almost girls night! Haha!

I caught my hubby all wrapped up in Grace's bracelets, and layered in pink, blue, and green sparkley nail polish.

Grace was in heaven! I think Nick on the other hand felt a little violated. But he has a sweet spot for his baby girl, and will do almost anything for some "sugar" (that's what Nick calls kisses).

Behind the scenes

I am the one who paints the faces, styles the hair, and watches quietly from the sidelines while the magic happens!

Here is a fun picture taken by the Producer on the set of a commercial for the Albertsons Foundation. The commercial was to help promote higher education. Part of it was shot inside a great north end home with all sorts of character. I set up shop in the shabby chic bathroom and went to town. It was lots of fun. The crew was wonderful to work with and very talented. I love this industry!

Simple Joy

Here is Collyn being his usual self. The kid that makes you smile. When he speaks his pearls of wisdom at the age of 9... you wonder who and where he came from. He is my rock when Nick is gone. My life for 6 years alone. He makes me proud when he looks at me with those huge brilliant blue eyes and says, "Mom, did you know that this particular species of animal (or insect, or dinosaur) came from the...", ya he knows way more than his mama! I have never met a person who does not love him to death. Collyn is my amazing young man!

My Cousin Todd vs Leukemia

I want to take a moment to share with you some heart breaking news about my Cousin Todd Larsen.

Todd is my eldest cousin. My funny, talented, selfless and free spirited cousin was just recently diagnosed with ALL Leukemia.

He is in the beginning phases of beating this illness. But Todd along with his beautiful wife Kelly can use all the help we can give them. Please take a spare moment to show support for my cousin whom I love dearly in any way you can.

To get more information on how to help or to learn more about All Leukemia visit Todd's blog @ http://www.toddrockinleukemia.blogspot.com/.

Once you view his blog you will understand how much of an influence he has been in so many peoples lives. There isn't much this man cannot do.

Please send out your prayers and thoughts to this beautiful family.

Now it's time to step outside ourselves and pay it forward!

Thanks <3>

Special friends that touch our lives...

Today I spent time talking with some of my friends that have enlightened and blessed my life . They have helped me realize that life is a real challenge, but worth it when you have friends to lean on and share parts of ourselves that are personal and know that it is safe.

In life we only have what we invite into our lives and choose to put forth the efforts to embrace what others have to offer.

I feel blessed to have those people in my life that constantly give me inspiration and push me to always improve myself!

In today's world we as a whole are always pushing the limits with time, tasks, projects, and all the other stuff that we find to fill our days to the brim. I have finally learned this year to slow it down and embrace the messy house, unfinished check lists, gourmet dinners (lack there of), and all the other smothering life tasks. My eyes have been opened to new kind of self discovery. The kind where I am focusing more on quality time with those that matter the most. Even if that means I have to open myself up to venerability.

I love you friends! Those who have been around a long time, and those who are just entering into my heart. You all help me to be who I am today! xoxo

A Day of Accomplishment

Today I realized that the memories of my childrens tiny moments of brilliance are fading into sweet nothings.

I have decided to make note of those interesting and priceless moments here on these pages.

I know I won't be able to bring to life the total experience of them all, but atleast we will get a good laugh or beautiful tears from looking back!

I hope you enjoy getting to know our family more intimately!

- Amber

And so it begins...

Today marks the day of a new begining for me...

I am turning over a new leaf. I have decided to blog.
Please, join me on this journey into the complete unknown.
